Bonnie L. (Hileman) Giampa, 44, Whittier Vo-Tech Class of 1989

Bonnie L. (Hileman) Giampa, 44, of Haverhill died Monday morning, May 25, at her residence with her family by her side after a long battle against cancer.

She was born in Haverhill, Jan. 10, 1971, daughter of the late Jessie C. and Patricia (Vadeboncoeur) Hileman Jr. Educated in the Haverhill school system, Giampa graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, class of 1989 and attended Northern Essex Community College. She was employed for many years as a medical secretary at Associates in Orthopedics, Haverhill. She was also employed as a bartender at the Atkinson Country Club and Club 125 in her years prior to Atkinson. She enjoyed volleyball as a teen and adult, and also enjoyed having a laugh with her friends and family. But the time she cherished most of all was the time spent with her daughter, Jacklyn, and attending all of her activities.

Her survivors include her daughter Jacklyn Giampa of Haverhill; long-time companion Dana Henderson of Haverhill; three sisters, Darlene F. Woodman of Haverhill, Linda J. Cunningham and her husband Blaise of Haverhill, and Beverly V. Duval and her husband Paul of Cornish, N.H.; three brothers, Leonard J. Hileman and his significant other Kim Kelley, Ralph S. Hileman and Jesse J. Hileman all of Haverhill; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also the sister-in-law of the late Kevin Woodman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Saturday, May 30, 2 p.m., in the First Church of Christ, 10 Church St., Bradford. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Calling hours will be Friday, May 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund for Bonnie Giampa has been set up at Pentucket Bank, PO Box 791, Haverhill, MA, 01831, for the benefit of Jacklyn Giampa’s Education at UMass Amherst.
