Police busted another alleged drug trafficking outfit, made two arrests and seized cocaine and heroin Thursday.
Elyse B. Ruth, 28, and Elston Villanveva, 26, both of 471 Washington St., were arrested between 6:20 and 7:10 p.m., at their home. They were charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of a class B drug with intent to distribute, conspiracy and drug violation in a school zone. Ruth, who was originally sought on a warrant, was also charged with possession of a class E drug, while Villanveva was also charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
In other police news, Jose Ramos, 44, of Lowell, was charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and breaking and entering, at 3:30 p.m. on Auburn Street.
Robert Zangari, 49, 347 Primrose St., was arrested at 12:40 p.m., Thursday, at 108 Main St., on a charge of drinking in public.
