Police Arrest Three Haverhill Men on Drug-Related Charges

Two Haverhill men are due to be arraigned in district court on drug-related charges after their arrests by Haverhill police Monday evening on Portland Street.

According to police, Herbert Chase, 32 and Michael Powers, 31, both of Haverhill, were arrested at 6:50 p.m., Monday, at 44 Portland St. Chase is charged with distribution of a class B drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Powers is charged with possession of a class B drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

In a separate case, a Haverhill man faces drug dealing and impaired driving charges, among others, after his arrest Monday at White’s Corner. Haverhill police report Martin Rojas, 32, of Haverhill, was arrested and charged with possession of a class A drug with intent to distribute, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a disguise to obstruct justice. The arrest occurred at 4:45 p.m., Monday, at 1 Merrimack St.

In other police news, a Haverhill man is due in court to face charges including drunk driving after being arrested Monday night. According to Haverhill police, Maximilian Paulino, 21, of Haverhill, was arrested at 11:30 p.m., Monday, on Warrenton Road. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and with disorderly conduct.
