Peter J. Belsky, 60, HHS Class of 1972

Peter J. Belsky, 60, of Salem, N.H., diedMay 18, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House following a long illness.

Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Joseph J. and Aldona Mary (Yankowsky) Belsky, he graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1972. He went on to attend Merrimack College.

Belsky was employed as a customer service representative for Comcast for many years.

A member of the Lithuanian Gedimino Club, he was a man of God who read the bible daily. He loved gardening, especially with his wife, and foraging for wild mushrooms. He also enjoyed listening to music, watching sports and horse racing. Belsky studied and practiced Reiki and was a Level 1 practitioner. He enjoyed meditating and spending time with his Yellow Lab, Lucky.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin A. (Finnerty) Belsky; a step-daughter, Emily Rogers and her husband Bernard of Byfield; a brother and sister-in-law, James E. and Regina Belsky of Wilmington; a sister and brother-in-law, Christine A. and Larry Stanley of Houston, Texas; an uncle, Edmund Yankowsky of Methuen; a niece, Erika Belsky; and a nephew, Austin Stanley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his life celebration Wednesday, May 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral will be Thursday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lithuanian Children’s Fund, c/o Sisters of Sacred Heart, Brockton, MA or to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 300 Merrimack Street #9, Lawrence, MA 01843.
