The Haverhill Republican City Committee will hear from Rep. Lenny Mirra (R-West Newbury), Groveland Selectman Joe D’Amore, Chris Lane, political director for the Massachusetts Republican Party, and Sean Aylward, cofounder of the Justice For Beth organization and victim’s rights advocate, during its first meeting of the year.
The meeting, open to the public, begins at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 21 at the Haverhill Public Library, Johnson Auditorium, 99 Main St., Haverhill, according to William H. Ryan, chairman.
Committee members will also make plans for its upcoming straw poll fundraiser. Republican Candidates and others will attend and be available to the press and public. Refreshments will be provided.

Bill Ryan….It’s time to retire. You as the face of the GOP in Haverhill is embarrassing. For years now as an elected public official you’ve sat quietly on the sidelines saying absolutely nothing while the tax and spend mayor has created new taxes and increased property taxes by over 25% in just the last 8 years. You’ve even voted for his budgets when he intentionally scammed taxpayers by raising taxes only to end up with a $3.5Million surplus that he turned around and spent on pay raises. You’ve obviously run out of gas Bill. It’s time to go.
