Five people are due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court Thursday on drug dealing charges after four were arrested and one was summonsed Wednesday in connection with an investigation by Haverhill police narcotics detectives and federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) agents.

According to police, a search warrant was executed at approximately noon, Wednesday, at 4 Auburn St. Three of the suspects were charged as repeat offenders. Peter Compere, 27, of Haverhill; Jose Anotnio Huertas, 36, of Haverhill; and Peter Boyd, 44, of Newburyport, were each charged with possession of a class A drug with intent to distribute (subsequent offense), conspiracy to violate drug laws and a drug violation in a school zone. Compere is also charged with possession of a class B drug. Also, Javier Figueroa, 34, of Lawrence, was charged with trafficking heroin and with a drug violation in a school zone. Colene Faia, 45, of Haverhill, was summonsed to court on charges of possession of a class A drug with intent to distribute and with a drug violation in a school zone.

“The search warrant was the result of ongoing investigations by Haverhill Police narcotics detectives  and outside law enforcement agencies targeting heroin dealers in Haverhill,” said Detective Captain Robert P. Pistone, Haverhill police spokesperson.

The four arrested were held overnight at Middleton jail without bail pending today’s court arraignment.

  1. The court system just lets these people go,they never get any real jail time and just come back again and do the same thing. Now that Lawrence has declared itself a sanctuary city the illegal criminal element will be here also selling drugs and doing whatever else they want to do.

  2. As the crime gets worse, Mr Haney worries about his image and how selling pot in Haverhill will make him look good in they eyes of the 60% who voted in favor of legalizing pot dispensaries. Never mind paying those utility bills, who needs electricity or a website ? Hootersville lives !
