Yvonne V. (Tremblay) Sullivan, 87, Former Shoe Worker

Yvonne V. (Tremblay) Sullivan, 87, of Haverhill, passed away Thursday May 12, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, with her family at her side.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1927 in Haverhill, the daughter of the late William B. and Rose A. (Bedard) Tremblay. She was raised and educated in Haverhill.

As a younger woman, Sullivan had worked in the local shoe industry. She worked as an assembler for Lucent Technologies and retired from their North Andover location.

Sullivan enjoyed attending BINGO games at Merrivista in Haverhill, where she resided. When she and her husband, Jeremiah were younger, they loved to go ballroom dancing together.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jeremiah F. Sullivan. She is survived by her daughters Geri Allen of Haverhill, Sheila J. Arsenault and her spouse, Lisa Boucher of Exeter, N.H., and Joyce Eastman and her husband, David of Raymond, N.H..; son Kevin W. Sullivan and his wife, Kathy of Sandown, N.H.; sister Lucille Rosetti and her husband, Nathan “Bucky” of Haverhill; brother Robert Tremblay and his wife, Joan of St. Cloud, Fla.; four grandchildren Arthur Allen, Emerie and Katrina Arsenault and Shawn Willis; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to Sullivan’s Life Celebration Monday, May 18, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA 01832. Her funeral service will follow her life celebration at the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. Burial will follow the service in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Haverhill.
