Lucille S. (Soucy) Noury, 90, Former Western Electric Worker

Lucille S. (Soucy) Noury, 90, of Bradford and formerly of Merrimac, died Sunday, May 10, at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Somersworth, N.H., Aug. 20, 1924, daughter of the late Wilfred and Louise (Berbue) Soucy and was educated there. For more than 20 years she was employed as a coil winder at the former Western Electric. Noury enjoyed roller-skating, trips to Foxwoods, playing bingo and cards with her family.

Her survivors include her husband of 70 years, John H. Noury of Bradford; two daughters, MaryAnn Sargent of Bradford, and Joanne McDermott of Bradford; son, John F. Noury and his wife Angela of Haverhill; four grandchildren, Michael Sargent and his wife Julie, Chris Sargent, Kimberly Finn and her husband John, and Krystle McDermott; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Noury was the mother-in-law of the late Mike Sargent who died May 1.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation period Friday morning, May 15 from 10 to 10:45 followed by a funeral service at 11 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Amesbury.
