Patricia M. (Laprel) Scanlon, 68, Worked at K-Mart 30 Years

Patricia M. (Laprel) Scanlon, 68, of Gill, passed away Sunday, May 3, at her residence.

She was born in Haverhill, March 28, 1947, daughter of the late Ernest and Julia (Coughlin) Laprel. Scanlon was a graduate of St. James High School in Haverhill and was employed as a bookkeeper for K-mart for more than 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to craft fairs, dining out, live music and traveling.

Her survivors include her son Glenn Scanlon of Greenfield; daughters, Christine McGrath of Shutesbury, Erin Scanlon of Gill and Jana Scanlon of Turners Falls; brother Ernest Laprel and his wife Charlene of Haverhill; sister Jane Wilson and her husband Richard of Kingston, N.H., and their two children, Katie and Nick. She had eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by several cousins, Mary King and her husband Ray, Joseph Malynn and his wife Deborah, Richard Malynn, Philip Malynn, Barbara Ma and her husband Averil, Mark Malynn and his wife Cindy and Jim Laprel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation Saturday, May 9, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:45 at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill.
