Police Arrest Three After Separate Drug Investigations

Three area residents are due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on drug-related charges after their arrests Monday in connection with separate police investigations.

Haverhill police report Anthony Estes, 24, of Kingston, N.H., was arrested at 9:11 p.m., Monday, at the intersection of Cottage and Winter streets. He was charged with distribution of a class A drug and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Estes was also taken into custody on three outstanding warrants.

Two hours later, at 11:15 p.m., police arrested Zachary J. Abbate, 20, of Haverhill, on Knipe Road. He was charged with possession of a class B drug (Adderall) and with being a person under 21 in possession of alcohol.

Also, Haverhill police arrested Corey Pickard, 24, of Haverhill, at 6:30 p.m., Monday at 105 White St. Under a warrant, he is charged with possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute.

In other police news, a Haverhill man is due in court to face burglary, assault and motor vehicle charges following his arrest on two outstanding warrants. Haverhill police report Warren Kline, 30, of Haverhill, was arrested at 7:10 p.m., Monday, at police headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard. He is charged with felony breaking and entering in the daytime, larceny over $250, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for a police officer. Kline was also cited for operating a vehicle without an inspection sticker.

Two Haverhill men are accused of burglarizing at least one motor vehicle in the Bradford section early Monday morning. According to Haverhill police, Christopher Cook, 22 and Samuel Stephens, 20, both of Haverhill, were arrested at 3:30 a.m., Monday, at the intersection of Peabody and Salem streets. Each is charged with breaking and entering larceny from a motor vehicle, possession of burglarious tools and possession of a class E drug. Stephens is additionally charged with carrying dangerous weapons. They were arraigned on the charges in Haverhill District Court.
