Dennis W. Dandurant, 67, Machinist

Dennis W. Dandurant, 67, passed away suddenly Saturday, May 2,  surrounded by his family at Merrimack Valley Hospice House following a brief illness. He was the husband of Fannie F. (Frascone) Dandurant.

Born in Haverhill March 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Herman and Anna Belle (Gillis) Dandurant. He was educated in the Haverhill public schools and was a lifelong resident of Haverhill.

Dandurant was employed as a machinist at Foss Manufacturing in Haverhill and Micro-Mech Inc. in Ipswich for many years. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends watching the games. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and his pets too. He especially loved spending time with his grandson, Derek, telling stories and cracking jokes while watching his favorite shows. He also loved his granddaughter Tanya’s baked goods, especially her brownies and cupcakes.

In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by his two sons, Dennis “Rocky” Dandurant Jr. and his wife, Tammy (Ravgiala) of Haverhill and Peter Dandurant and his wife, Rena Dilando Dandurant of Rochester, N.H.; two grandchildren, Derek Dandurant and Tanya Marie Comeau and her husband, Steve; two sisters, Judy Kelley and her husband, John and Joan Dandurant; two brothers, David and Larry Dandurant; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister, Sandra Karpich and two brothers, Kevin and Keith Dandurant.

His funeral service will be privately held at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
