Police Charge Woman with Assault After Downtown Disturbance

A Haverhill woman is due to be arraigned in district court on assault-related charges from Haverhill police after her arrest stemming from a disturbance Wednesday afternoon.

Police report Roxanne Johnson, 33, of Haverhill, was arrested at 1:03 p.m., Wednesday, at the intersection of Main Street and Ginty Boulevard. She was charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct, subsequent offense.

In other police news, a Haverhill woman was taken into custody Wednesday evening in the lower Acre section on an outstanding warrant. Haverhill police report Natasha Johnson, 23, of Haverhill, was arrested at 7:45 p.m., Wednesday, at the intersection of Franklin and Williams streets. Specific charges under the arrest warrant were not listed.
