Amesbury Man in ‘Good’ Condition After Trash Truck Rollover

The driver of a trash truck injured in a rollover crash Monday on an Interastate 495 on-ramp from Main Street in Haverhill is recovering at Lawrence General Hopsital.

Daniel Choquette, 25, of Amesbury, is listed in good condition, Lawrence General Hospital Spokesperson Vanessa Kortze told WHAV Tuesday. Choquette was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries following the crash, which occurred shortly before noon, Monday, according to Massachusetts State Police.

A state police spokesperson said the crash occurred as the truck was approaching the southbound highway entry from route 125 southbound in Haverhill and struck a guardrail. The ramp was closed for several hours and prompted traffic backups and detours as crews cleared the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by state police.
