Yvette M. (Arsenault) Pollister, 65

Yvette M. (Arsenault) Pollister, 65, of Haverhill died April 23 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Maxime Arsenault and Alice (Bourque) (Arsenault) Lafontaine, Pollister moved to Haverhill as a young child and attended St. Joseph Grammar School. She graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1968.

Pollister was employed as an Inspector for Raytheon Company for 20 years until her retirement.

A member of All Saints Parish, Pollister was also a member of the IBEW and the St. Joseph Bowling League. When she was no longer physically able to bowl, Pollister organized an online Pogo Bowling League. She enjoyed playing cards, vacationing at Province Lake in Wakefield, N.H., taking rides along the Kancamagus Highway and most enjoyed spending time with her family. Pollister was also a frequent blood donor for the American Red Cross in Dover.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, George L. Pollister; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott M. and Maura Pollister of North Andover; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle T. and Rob Weatherbee of Hudson; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Catherine Arsenault of Melbourne, Fla.; a sister, Diane Briggs of Bradford; five grandchildren, Morgan Weatherbee, Vivian Weatherbee, Abigail Pollister, Julia Pollister and Emily Pollister; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Pollister’s life celebration Monday, April 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will begin Tuesday at noon in the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
