Beverly Ann Michitson, 81, Former Hale Hospital Nurse

Beverly Ann Michitson, 81, of Haverhill, passed away in her sleep early Wednesday, April 22, at her home.

Born in Haverhill March 28, 1934 the only daughter of the late Phillips F. and Ruth (Picard) Brooks, Michitson graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1952. She later attended Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School and graduated as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in 1978. Michitson was employed for 16 years as a LPN at the former Hale Hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband Eustice Michitson, who passed away in 2002, and two brothers, Norman E. and David G. Brooks, and son-in-law Robert M. Giffin. She is survived by her children Norma Jean Anderson of Brewster; George P. and his wife Kimberly Michitson of Bradford, Paul A. Michitson of Haverhill, Timothy S. and his wife Kathy Michitson of Haverhill, Bruce A. and his wife Michelle Michitson of Haverhill, and Nancy J. Michitson of Portsmouth, N.H.; two brothers, Kelvin O. and his wife Helga Brooks of Bradford and Phillips Brooks and his wife Miye of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She cherished her time with her friends at the Julian Steele senior housing complex, treasured her family and always appreciated a good laugh. She was a die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved watching games with her beloved daughter Nancy. She enjoyed keeping up with what was going on in the world, reading the paper daily and watching the news.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, April 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. Her funeral is Thursday, April 30, 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford.
