Police Make Arrests at High Street Drug Trafficking Scene

Three people are due to be arraigned in Haverhill district court following their arrests Tuesday on drug related charges.

According to Haverhill police, Courtney Loycano, 30, of Haverhill, was arrested at 5 p.m., Tuesday, at 60 High St. Loycano is charged with possession of a class A substance with intent to distribute, possession of a class E substance and conspiracy to violate drug laws. She was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant charging her with operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

A short time later, Daniel Valenti, 34, of Haverhill and Yanival Aroyo, 37, of Dorchester, were both arrested at 5:25 p.m., at that same location. Each is charged with possession of class A substance with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Aroyo was additionally charged with possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute and possession of a class E substance.

In other police news, a Haverhill woman is due to be arraigned in court after her arrest by Haverhill Police Tuesday on a theft charge. Police report Venita Balmis, 20, of Haverhill, was arrested at 7:40 p.m., Tuesday, at 35 Computer Drive. She was charged with larceny over $250.

Errol Ellis, 21, of Lynn, was arrested at 6 p.m., Tuesday, during a disturbance at 21 Portland St. He is facing charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant charging him with assault and battery causing substantial bodily injury.

A 13-year-old male was charged with failure to appear in court in connection with two previous counts of assault and battery.

Elvis A. Reynoso, 34, of Haverhill, was arrested at 12:38 p.m., Tuesday, at 93 Lafayette Square for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
