Haverhill Police Arrest Plaistow, N.H. Fugitive From Justice

A Plaistow, N.H., man is due to be arraigned in court after he was arrested by Haverhill Police over the weekend as a fugitive from justice facing multiple charges under outstanding warrants.

Haverhill Police report Jason Cheney, 35, of Plaistow, was arrested at 7:40 p.m., Friday, at the intersection of High and Jackson St. Cheney was charged with resisting arrest and being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant. Under five outstanding warrants, Cheney is additionally charged with failure to provide DNA, two counts of shoplifting, two counts of resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, possession of a class A substance with intent to distribute and violation within a school zone.

In other police news, a 12-year-old male is due to appear in juvenile court after his arrest on an outstanding warrant for assault and battery and armed robbery. According to Haverhill police he was taken into custody at 10 a.m. Friday. His identity is not being released due to his age.

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in court for his arrest this weekend. Jesus Rivera, 32, of Haverhill, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Friday, at 20 Chadwick Street. Rivera was charged with possession and intent to distribute a class B substance, a school zone violation and conspiracy.
