James A. Wezesa, 71, Former Mechanic

James A. Wezesa, 71, passed away Saturday morning, March 21, at The Oxford, Haverhill.

Wezesa was born in Haverhill May 19, 1943, son of the late Joseph and Helen (Barron) Wezesa. He was educated in Haverhill Schools.

He was the husband of Joyce (Leeman) Wezesa, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. They met at a Valentines Dance and have not been apart since. He was a lifelong resident of Haverhill and worked for the Brown Counter Shoe Factory and then for Bill Deluca as a mechanic technician until his retirement in 2003.

Wezesa received the most amount of pleasure spending time with his family and friends especially at their Camp in Alton, N.H. The Wezesa family thank Mert and Pat Howard for their great friendship over the years, and the love and support they gave to Wezesa prior to his passing.

In addition to his wife,  surviving family members include his children, Scott Wezesa of Haverhill, Deborah Wezesa of Derry, N.H. and Karen Wezesa of Haverhill; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He was the father of the late James A. Wezesa Jr.
