Police Arrest Man on Motor Vehicle, Ammunition Charges

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned in court on motor vehicle and a weapon-related charges after his arrest over the weekend.

According to Haverhill Police, Jose Chico-Rodriguez, 29, of Haverhill, was arrested at 10:30 p.m., Saturday, at the intersection of Grove Street and Broadway. He was charged with operating a vehicle after license suspension, possession of ammunition and a license plate violation.

In other police news, two Haverhill men are due to be arraigned in court on charges of drinking in public following their arrests by Haverhill Police Sunday. Police say Jose G. Defrancesco, 40 and Erik Milaszenski, 39, both of Haverhill, were arrested at 6:40 p.m., Sunday, at 111 Lafayette Square . Milaszenski was additionally charged with possession of class E substance.

Two women were arrested together Sunday on outstanding warrants. Haverhill Police report Meagan E. Welch, 25, of Seabrook, N.H. and Rachel Abrahams, 23, of Berwick, Maine, were arrested at 7:05 p.m. Sunday at 792 River St.

Welch was taken into custody on a warrant charging her with larceny and was also charged with being a fugitive from justice. Abrahams was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging her with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault and one count of damage to property.
