Sandown Seeks Three Budget Committee Volunteers

The town of Sandown N.H. seeking to fill three temporary vacancies on its budget committee.

Successful applicants must be a Sandown resident would serve on the Budget Committee on a non-paying volunteer basis until the March 2016 town election.

“The Budget Committee prepares the town budget, confers with the Board of Selectmen and Department Heads regarding budgetary items and conducts public hearings as required by state statute. The committee meets on a weekly basis during budget season which runs from the end of August through mid-January,” a town spokesperson said.

In town elections held on March 10, no names appeared on the ballot for three budget committee candidates to be elected to a three-year term.   However, voters separately elected two committee members, Anthony C. Piemonte and Lee Dube, to one-year terms.
