Patricia Anne (Sullivan) Farley, 83

Patricia Anne (Sullivan) Farley, 83, 0f Newburyport, formerly of Haverhill, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen after an illness.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late, Daniel and Anne (Donahue) Sullivan. Raised in the “Acre” section of Haverhill, she was educated at St. Gregory Grammar School and was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1950.

Farley was employed as a lab technician, at the Hytron Corporation and later the Caldwell Distillery in Newburyport. Active in the community and her church, she was a Girl Scout Leader at the Immaculate Conception Parish, she enjoyed painting, and traveling, especially to Ireland and the Greek Islands. A longtime member of the Olde Town Country Club, she also enjoyed playing tennis and boating.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she leaves her loving husband of 60 years, James E. Farley, of Newburyport; two sons, Thomas F. Farley and his wife, Courtney, of Rochester, N.H, and James E. Farley Jr., of Newburyport; two daughters, Anne Marie Zanfagna and her husband, James, of Plaistow, N.H., and Katherine T. Farley, of Newburyport; grandchildren Sarah Addorisio and her husband, Michael, and the late, Jacqueline Zanfagna; two great grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Addorisio. She also leaves siblings, Joseph and his wife, Mary Sullivan, of Bradford, Barbara Casey, of Exeter, N.H., Gerald Sullivan, and Richard Sullivan, both of Haverhill; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Sullivan, and sister, Jacquelyn Wilson.
