Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest on License, Theft Charges

A traffic stop by Haverhill Police Wednesday night lead to the arrest of a local man sought for larceny and unlicensed driving charges.

According to police, Hipolito Gonzales, 21, of Haverhill, was arrested at 9:20 p.m., Wednesday, at 127 Winter Street on a charge of operating a motor vehicle after license suspension (subsequent offense). Under three outstanding warrants, he is also charged with two additional counts of operation after license suspension and one count of larceny under $250.

In other police news, a Haverhill man is free on bail pending court arraignment on a police charge in connection with a disturbance late Wednesday night in the Mount Washington section. Haverhill Police report Jaime Mendez-Medina, 18, of Haverhill, was arrested at 11 p.m., Wednesday, at 352 Washington Street. He is charged with a single count of disorderly conduct. No further details were available by deadline.
