Haverhill Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man, described as a “person of interest,” in the theft of more than $1,000 worth of Massachusetts lottery scratch tickets.

Police said this morning the lottery tickets were taken from a Haverhill store earlier this month.

“The Haverhill Police are not calling this individual a suspect at this time, however they would like to ID him and are interested in speaking with him,” Lieutenant Robert P. Pistone, police spokesperson, said. He said the man may be driving a dark-colored conversion van.

The public may call the Haverhill Police anonymous tip line at (978) 373-1212 or contact Detective Glenn Fogarty at (978) 722-1570.
