Francesco ‘Frank Lamparelli, 87

Francesco “Frank” Lamparelli, 87, of Haverhill, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, unexpectedly at his home.

Born, raised and educated in Italy, he was the son of Michele and Angelina (Capogna) Lamparelli. Along with his wife and young family, he immigrated to the United States and settled in Haverhill in 1971. A talented stone mason by trade, Lamparelli built his contracting business and reputation one job at a time; working from sun up until sun down six days a week to support his family. Proud of his Italian heritage, Lamparelli loved to sing Italian classics whenever he had an audience. He was once invited by the Mayor of Haverhill to sing for the Italian Consulate General while visiting the city for the celebration for the Italian Reunification Day.

Lamparelli is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maria (Baldassarre) Lamparelli, of Haverhill; a daughter, Angela Lamparelli, of Haverhill; four sons; Michael Lamparelli and his fiancé, Ingrid Coate, of Manchester, N.H., Alfredo Lamparelli and his wife, Amy, of Windham, N.H., Nicholas Lamparelli and his wife, Sacha, of Irvine, Calif., and Francesco Lamparelli and his wife, Cherrie, of Haverhill; 12  grandchildren, Erica, Marissa, Gabriella, Alex, Michela, Adrianna, Paulina, Ava, Julian, Alexia, Lucas and Anthony, four great grandchildren; Isabella, Olivia, Sofia, and Jaiden; two sisters; Nunzia Baldassarre, and Giulia Lamparelli, both of Italy; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave. Haverhill. Burial will follow at New Plains Cemetery, Cobbetts Pond Road, Windham, N.H. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
