HHS Closed to Students Friday Because of Snow on Roof

Haverhill High School is closed to students Friday because of concerns over the amount of snow of the roof.

Teachers, however, will still report to a designated safe area at the school, union officials said. Haverhill Education Association President Joseph Cunha said he agrees with the move.

“There is no one who care more about the safety for the children than Superintendent Jim Scully. When he is calling a snow day, when he is doing what he is now being forced to do with regard to the roof at Haverhill High School, he is doing exactly what needs to be done and should never be questioned,” he said
