Serena A. (Sirry) Brighi, 91, Served Bradford College 27 Years

HAMPTON, N.H. – Serena A. (Sirry) Brighi, 91, of Hampton, N.H., formerly of Haverhill, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late, Joseph M. and Eleanora (Giardini) Sirry. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1941. She then continued her education at the McIntosh Business School in Boston.

She was employed in the alumni office of the Bradford College for 27 years.

The Widow of Aldo C. Brighi, who died in 2007, she and her late husband relocated to Hampton, N.H. in 1990 where they spent summers and spent winters in Florida. She liked playing cards; dancing, and was a great cook. Most of all she cherished her time spent with her family.

She leaves two sons; Stephen M. Brighi and his wife, Karen J. (Sarfde), of Bradford, and Michael C. Brighi, of Naples, Fla., and Kennebunkport, Maine; four grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Marissa, and Matthew Brighi; a sister, Joan Conca and her husband, F. Robert, of Andover; and a niece, Debra Lannan, of Lawrence.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Brighi Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (route 125) Haverhill. Her family will receive visitors beginning at 11 a.m. until the service at 1. Burial will be held in the spring. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105-1942.
