Rodothea ‘Rosallie’ (Joannou) Papoutsy, 76, Wang VP

Rodothea “Rosallie” (Joannou) Papoutsy, 76, former resident of Chevy Chase, Md., passed away Jan. 31,  at  Massachusetts General Hospital after a long illness.

She was born in Haverhill, Feb. 4, 1938 and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1955. She  resided in Atkinson, N.H. and was predeceased by her parents, Mary and John Halias and her brother, Nicholas Halias.

Papoutsy began her professional career as office manager with Pope Machinery in Haverhill. She later joined Wang Laboratories in Lowell where she retired 24 years later as corporate vice president of Wang Labs, Lowell and senior vice president of Wang Federal Inc., of McLean, Virg.. In 1997 she resumed her career as senior sales manager at Neiman Marcus.
