Philip G. Cartier, 83, Korean War Veteran

Philip G. Cartier, 83, of Haverhill, passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Wingate at Haverhill after a brief illness.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Arthur and Miranda (Gilbert) Cartier and was educated in the Haverhill school system. A Korean War Veteran, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Randolph and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the American Legion Post 4.

He is survived by two sons, Steven G. Cartier, with whom he lived, and Michael W. Cartier and his wife, Maureen (Crites) Cartier, four grandchildren, Steven G. Cartier Jr, Lisa M. Cartier, Molly L. Cartier, and Mackenzie A. Cartier, two great grandchildren, Gavin P. Cartier, Amelia G. Berry, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Roland, Ernest, Albert, Gilbert, Beatrice Lebor, Rita Belleville, and Sr. Claire Cartier.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. at All saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave. Haverhill, MA. Burial is private. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
