Mary A. (Ingham) Fegan, 91, Former Shoe Worker

Mary A. (Ingham) Fegan, 91, a life-long resident of Haverhill, passed away Wednesday, Jan, 28, at Oxford Manor.

She was born in Groveland, March 20, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Murphy) Ingham. Fegan was educated in the Haverhill public school system and graduated from Haverhill High School with the class of 1941. After graduating, she was employed in the local shoe industry. She was a member of the shoe workers union AFL-CIO and a past member of Sacred Hearts Church.

Fegan was pre deceased by her husband William Fegan who passed away in 1989, and her brothers Joseph, Richard and Robert Ingham. She is survived by her sister in law Joyce Ingham of Groveland, and friends that were like family to her, Maureen Bly of Haverhill, Sheila Hamilton of Salem, N.H. and City Councilor Thomas Sullivan of Haverhill, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are  invited to attend an hour of visitation Friday, Jan. 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:15am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oxford Manor Activities Fund, 689 Main St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
