Frieda (Shliveck) Alper, 90

Frieda (Shliveck) Alper, 90, of Haverhill passed away Monday at Bayberry at Emerald Court in Tewksbury.

She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., Sept. 1, 1924, daughter of the late Max and Ray (Goldmintz) Shliveck. Alper was educated in the Bronx school system and moved to Haverhill in the early 1950s. While in Haverhill she was a member of Temple Emanu-El, Haverhill, and the Jewish War Veteran’s North Shore Post 220 Ladies Auxiliary. She was the wife of the late Maurice Alper who died in 1990 and is survived by her sons Steven Alper and his wife Arlene of Ramona, Calif., Marc H. Alper and his wife Jane of Haverhill and Michael D. Alper and his wife Tamsen of Scarborough, Maine; grandchildren Allison, Christopher, Elizabeth, Eric, Jennifer, Justin and Benjamin; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Bernard Shliveck and Ruth Blitzer.

There will be no calling hours. Her funeral takes place Thursday, Jan. 29t, at 2 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill.
