Haverhill Welcomes Three New Police Officers

Haverhill city officials were on hand Wednesday morning to welcome three new Haverhill police officers.

Christopher Dondero, Timothy Menzie and Christopher Landers were sworn in at Haverhill City Hall, according to Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini. Police Chief Alan R. DeNaro was among those present.

“Haverhill has added eight new police in two years. Crime was down 12% last year,” Fiorentini said.

The three newest police recruits join with 10 other new police officers who were sworn in last July. Six of the ten were placed on active duty early this month after they completed police academy studies.

“It is great to get the new graduates on the street, I congratulate all of them for their hard work at the academy. Public safety is one of my priorities and getting police officers hired, trained and on the street, makes our city a safe place to live and work, Fiorentini said.
