Jason M. Ryan, 29

Jason M. Ryan, 29, passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, Jan 17.

Born in Boston, he was the son of James Ryan and the late, Elizabeth Allard. He attended Haverhill public schools and was a graduate of Whittier Vocational High School, class of 2003. He continued his education at Northern Essex Community College. An avid reader, he would prefer to relax with a good book than watch television. A gifted artist, crafter and writer, he was very proud to have been a contributing editor to his college newspaper and having published a novel online. He possessed a wealth of interests; he enjoyed taking road trips, and hiking, and enjoyed the serenity of nature. He was a great cook, and a lover of animals. He was a thoughtful, generous soul.

He is survived by his father; James Ryan, his wife, and who Jason referred to as “Mum” Tracy (Hanson) Ryan, of Newton, N.H., his dear friend, Katherine Morganstern, of Newburyport, and his grandparents, Crystal Allard and Dave Parshley, of Bradford, godparents, Kevin McCarthy, of Haverhill, and Georgina Ryan-Rao, of Haverhill. He also leaves loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. in the First Church of Christ, 10 Church St. Bradford. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Mill St. Haverhill.
