Group Seeks Sculptures for Bradford Rail Trail

Bradford_Rail_Trail_LogoTeam Haverhill is seeking artists to design three-dimensional, original sculptures for installation along the Art Walk at the Bradford Rail Trail.

Submissions are for sculptures of many different sizes, but they must be mountable to 10-foot cement concrete pads provided by the City of Haverhill with anchor bolts.

“It is encouraged that submissions reflect the rich history of Haverhill, MA; specifically, the city’s rail and waterways based on our theme, ‘All Aboard,” Team Haverhill said. Designs that are political, religious, violent or sexual in nature will not be accepted. Corporate logos or advertising are also not allowed.

The Bradford Rail Trail is located on the southern bank of the Merrimack River at the site of the former Boston and Maine Railroad Georgetown Branch.

Artists will be paid approximately $5,000 to $15,000. All submissions are due via email by February 28. Selected artists will be notified by April 15. Works must be delivered for installation Oct.15. An artist may submit multiple designs for consideration. Applications must be sent to [email protected] before the deadline.
