Methuen Seeks Public Help in Liquor Store Break-in

Police in Methuen are asking the public’s help to locate two suspects in connection with an attempted break-in, early New Year’s morning, at a liquor store in the Pleasant Valley section.

According to a Methuen Police spokesperson, an officer on routine patrol discovered at about 7:15 a.m., Thursday, pry marks and what appeared to be fresh damage to several of the doors to Pleasant Valley Liquor store. A detective responded to the scene and upon reviewing the store’s video surveillance, it was discovered two male subjects attempted to break into the business earlier, at around 2:56 a.m. The suspects attempted to gain entry, but were unsuccessful. The vehicle used was a silver or grey (possibly 2004) Chrysler Town and Country or Dodge Caravan.
