Dreaming of A ‘Wet’ Christmas?

In the Merrimack Valley, the holiday song of choice could be called “Wet Christmas.”

The forecast from Wave Weather calls for another round of heavy rain beginning Wednesday afternoon, and above-normal temperatures reaching near 60 and a possible thunderstorm overnight Christmas eve. Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 30 m.p.h. or more as temperatures drop after the storm leaves the area by mid-Christmas day. Total rainfall amounts vary from one inch to less than two inches by the storm’s end late Thursday morning. A flood watch will be in effect from 4 p.m. Wednesday until midnight, Thursday.
