Gloria A. (Bernier) Cassidy, 83, of Haverhill passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, Dec. 5, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
She was born in Eagle Lake, Maine Nov. 1, 1931, daughter of the late Octave and Delina (Michaud) Bernier. Gloria moved to Chelsea in 1954 residing there for 50 years prior to moving to Haverhill in 2004 where she has been a resident since. She was one of 12 siblings and enjoyed knitting, embroidery and cooking. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ernest J. Cassidy; son Ronald J. Cassidy; daughter Gail M. Gregoire all of Haverhill; grandson Eric B. Gregoire and his wife Katie of Haverhill; great grandson Ryan M. Gregoire of Haverhill; 2 sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Patricia Lewicki. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave. Haverhill.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours on Thursday, Dec. 11 from 4-7 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. Her funeral will be Friday, Dec. 12 beginning at 9:00 from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford. Interment will follow in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
