Beatrice L. (Garavanta) Kittredge, 89, Owner of Stadium Market

Beatrice L. (Garavanta) Kittredge, 89, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family Friday afternoon, Dec. 5.

Kittredge was born in Groveland Aug. 29, 1925. She one of four children of the late John and Mary (Baciagulupo) Garavanta. Kittredge was raised in Groveland and Bradford, and was a graduate of Haverhill High School.

She was the wife of the late Clarence Kittredge Jr. who passed in 1987 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Beatrice worked for many years with her husband as owners of Stadium Market in Haverhill and Star Haven in Methuen, while raising their family. She loved children and worked until her retirement from the Haverhill School System.

Her surviving family members include her  children, Barry Kittredge and wife Andrea of Haverhill, Donna Mears of Haverhill, and Debra Huberdeau and husband Richard of Haverhill; grandchildren, Timothy Kittredge, Daniel Kittredge, Beth Stepan, Erica Cronin, Robert Mears, Elizabeth Allshouse, Kelley Shanahan, Katie Deramo, Kristen Huberdeau, Kara Hamel, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be Wednesday morning, Dec. 10, beginning at the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main Street, Bradford at 9. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Church, 110 Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill at 10. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill. Calling hours will be Tuesday in the funeral home from 3 to 6 p.m.
