Carol L. (Hoyt) Dupree, 71, of Merrimac, died Thursday evening, Dec. 4, at her residence.
She was born in Haverhill, April 6, 1943, daughter of the late Horace W. and Gabrielle M. (Bergeron) Hoyt. Educated in the Merrimac school system, Dupree graduated from Pentucket Regional High School and earned her degree from MacIntosh Business School, Haverhill. For several years she was a teacher’s aide at the Donahue School, Merrimac, and also a Jafra consultant. Dupree enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, crafts and most of all cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
Her survivors include her husband of 51 years, George W. Dupree of Merrimac, a son, Rev. George D. Dupree and his wife Tammy of South Berwick, Maine, two daughters, Melissa G. Williams and her husband Alex of Berwick, Maine, Linda C. Lee and her husband Mark of Sanbornville, N.H., a brother, David F. Hoyt and his wife Joan A. of Merrimac and 11 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Monday morning, Dec. 8, from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Dec. 8, at 11:30 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac.
