CBS Blocks WBZ-TV Channel 4 for Dish Subscribers

If you’re a satellite television subscriber, you may have lost access to Channel 4 while CBS and DISH Network L.L.C. battle over the unrelated “CBS Sports Network.”

DISH Network L.L.C. reports CBS is preventing it from carrying CBS owned and operated stations in 18 markets across the country, including WBZ-TV, Channel 4.

“We are disappointed that CBS has chosen to black out their local channels, but remain optimistic that the channels will return quickly as both sides are continuing to work tonight to finalize an agreement,” said a DISH spokesperson.

Showtime remains available and is not subject to the blackout.
