Haverhill Man, 21, Faces Theft Charges

A Haverhill man is facing theft-related charges in Haverhill District Court following his arrest Monday afternoon. Haverhill Police report 21-year-old Tyler F. Fitzgerald of Haverhill was arrested shortly before 1 p.m., Monday, on Coffin Avenue. He is charged with larceny over $250, receiving stolen property over 250 dollars and criminal harassment.

A Fremont, N.H., woman is facing charges in two states after her arrest in Haverhill early Monday following a traffic stop. Haverhill Police report 18-year-old Meghan Carty of Fremont was arrested shortly after 1:30 a.m., Monday, at 600 River Street, on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. She was also charged with being a fugitive from justice, in connection with an outstanding warrant from New Hampshire authorities.

In other police news, a Haverhill teen will be arraigned in juvenile court after being arrested Monday evening in connection with an alleged altercation. Haverhill Police report the 15-year-old male was taken into custody at 6:30 p.m. on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. His identity is being withheld due to his age.
