Police Arrest Worcester Man at Westgate Shopping Center

A Worcester man is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court on theft and weapons charges, among others, in connection with an alleged altercation shortly after 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Westgate shopping plaza, 400 Lowell Avenue.

Haverhill Police report 26-year-old William G. Reyes of Worcester was arrested on charges of larceny over $250, carrying a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, three counts of threatening to kill and giving a false name to police. He was also taken into custody on four outstanding warrants for various charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, defacing property and operating a motor vehicle after license suspension.

In other Haverhill police news, a Haverhill woman is facing multiple assault and motor vehicle charges from police after an alleged altercation involving a motor vehicle Tuesday afternoon on Winter Street. Haverhill Police report 37-year-old Kimberly A. Denault of Haverhill was arrested at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, on charges of assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a motor vehicle), leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury, resisting arrest, motor vehicle operation with a revoked driver’s license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. According to police, she also has four outstanding warrants for charges including three counts of violation of an abuse preventive order, and for multiple repeat motor vehicle charges including unlicensed operation, and operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
