Sandown, N.H. Food Pantry Seeks Thanksgiving Donations

The upcoming Thanksgiving holiday has prompted a call to help from a Sandown, N.H., food pantry to call for food donations to assist local families with holiday dinners.

The Sandown Food Pantry said it sees an increased need from previous years. Non-perishable items may be dropped off at the Sandown Town Hall during regular business hours until Thursday, Nov. 20, or at the Sandown Food Pantry Tuesdays, 4 to 5 p.m. and Fridays, 9 to 10 a.m.

Items needed include:

  •  Frozen turkeys, 10-15 lbs.
  • Frozen chickens, 6-8 lbs.
  • Stuffing mix
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Canned gravy
  • 5 lb. bags of potatoes
  • Canned corn
  • Canned green beans
  • Brownie mix
  • Supermarket gift cards

Contact Arlene Bassett at (603) 887-3453 or (603) 505-1512 or email [email protected] if you are donating a turkey. An accurate count is needed to ensure all families are guaranteed a meal.
