Armed Robbery Suspect Heads to Court

A Haverhill man is due to be arraigned on an armed robbery charge in Haverhill District Court after a police investigation lead to his arrest late Tuesday night.

Haverhill Police report 33-year-old Thomas Dick of Haverhill was arrested at 11:30 p.m. at police headquarters on a charge of armed robbery while masked. No further details were released

In other police news, a traffic stop by Haverhill police led to the arrests of two Lawrence men Tuesday night on drug-related charges. Police report 28-year-old Alex Ramos, and 38-year-old Eddie Cardona, both of Lawrence, were arrested shortly after 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the intersection of Wilson and Beach streets. Ramos is charged with possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to violate drug laws. He was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. Cardona is charged with possession of a class B drug, subsequent offense; failure to signal, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense. Both men are due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

Two people from Haverhill also head to district court to face shoplifting charges in separate arrests Tuesday. Haverhill Police report 31-year-old Shawna Favaloro was arrested at 7 p.m., at 203 Essex Street. Earlier, at 4 p.m., 49-year-old William Jones of Haverhill was taken into custody at Central Plaza, 2 Water Street. Each is charged with a single count of shoplifting by asportation.

  1. And I presume Thomas Dick is another low-life who had an UNLAWFUL firearm? Just how are more restrictive gun laws supposed to resolve situations where people are not licensed to carry but are hell-bent that they are going to buy a gun?????
