Senator Kathleen O’Connor Ives talked up tourism when she appeared on a recent segment of Comcast Newsmakers with Jenny Johnson.
She mentioned Haverhill’s shoemaking, Newburyport’s clipper ships, Amesbury’s carriages and Methuen’s stonework. Each has a downtown that would make an excellent choice for any business. O’Connor-Ives said the Merrimack River is an asset all of these communities share.
