Linda Joyce (Saunders) Dennis, 67, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, at the Baker-Katz Nursing Home surrounded by family and friends.
Born in in Cambridge, August 30, 1947, she was the daughter of George R. and Dorothy Mae (Cameron) Saunders. Raised in Methuen and Lawrence, she attended Salem High School in New Hampshire.
Dennis was employed as a nurse’s aide for her entire career, working for various nursing homes throughout the Merrimack Valley.
A loving mother and grandmother, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren, being especially close with her “Sugar Pie” Kelsey. She enjoyed playing 45’s, cribbage, and other card games. She loved the music of Elvis and Motown artists and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was a free spirit at heart and was quick to help anyone in any way she could.
Dennis is survived by her daughter, Raquel Kelly and granddaughter, Kelsey Jabour, of Haverhill, a son, Jamie Dennis and grandson, Luke Dennis, a sister, Judy Crawford, of Florida, and several nieces and nephews throughout New England, New York and Florida. She was predeceased by her life partner, Steven Borges and siblings, George “Sonny” Saunders, Eddie Saunders, and Florence Fielding.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (route 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home immediately following the period of visitation at 7 p.m.
