Library Sponsors Various Free Events in November

The Haverhill Public Library sponsors various free events during November.

Free weekday movie matinees include classic “tough guy cinema.” Movies include the1968 classic “Bullitt,” starring Steve McQueen; “Two Mules for Sister Sara” (1970), starring Shirley Maclaine and Clint Eastwood; “Cape Fear” (1962), starring Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck; and “The Searchers,” (1956) starring John Wayne. Most showings are Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.

Artist Mandy Roberge who specializes in the ancient art of Henna tattooing. Learn about the art of Henna tattooing and get a Henna tattoo. Thursday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.

Artist Sabrina Pilet-Jones conducts a demonstrative class on jewelry making, Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m.,

The book club, Get Lit, meets Thursday, Nov. 20, 7 p.m. at The Barking Dog Ale House, 77 Washington St. Haverhill. The club is aimed at 20- and 30-somethings. The club discusses “Snowblind” by Haverhill’s own Christopher Golden, who will also be at the meeting.
