Ruth I. (Colbath) Orlando, 57, Home Depot Worker

Ruth I. (Colbath) Orlando, 57, of Haverhill, passed peacefully at her home after a battle with cancer on Sunday morning, Nov. 2, surrounded by her loving, supportive family. she was the devoted wife of Benedetto J. Orlando, Jr.

Born in Rochester, New Hampshire, September 11, 1957, she was one of three children of the late Robert and Barbara (Thibodeau) Colbath and was a graduate of Rochester High School. Prior to her illness, Orlando worked at the Home Depot in Plaistow, N.H.

She was a caring, loving wife, mother and grandmother, proud of her family, always there to help in any way she could. She considered the gift of love from her family and friends her greatest treasure. She enjoyed sharing with them her interest in Native American traditions, her fascination with the intricate designs of dream catchers, crafting beautiful ceramics and making blankets..

Those left behind are her husband, Ben of Haverhill; her daughter, Windy Barton; her four grandchildren, Kevin Barton, 23; Darick Barton, 12; Tessa Rose Barton, 9 and Kacie Rain, 7; her two brothers, George and Jamie; along with several nieces and nephews and dear friends.

By her request, services will be private and flowers are to be omitted. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers Family-Carnevale Funeral Home, 334 Main Street, Haverhill.
