Dr. Patricia Machado, Northern Essex Community College professor will address the second gathering of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce’s Professional Women in Business Networking Group.
Machado, who specializes in economics and financial literacy, will speak Friday, Nov. 14 from noon to 1 p.m., at Aegis Financial Strategies, 145 South Main St. The group meets monthly, providing a forum for women to openly voice their concerns, fears, triumphs and successes, in an environment designed specifically to cater to strengthening of their businesses, according to Stacey L. Bruzzese, chamber president.
Besides networking, the group provides education on topics impacting female business owners, as well as tactics and strategies for building business and career advancement.
Machado received her bachelor’s degree from UMass Lowell, her master’s from Western New England University and her master’s and doctorate in community economic development from Southern New Hampshire University.
