Claire A. (Tremblay) Migliori Simmons, 83

Claire A. (Tremblay) Migliori Simmons, 83, passed away Sat., Oct. 25, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). She was surrounded by her family in her final hours.

She was born Nov. 11, 1930 in Haverhill, William Tremblay of Champlain, N.Y. and Rose (Bedard) Tremblay of Littleton, N.H. She attended Haverhill parochial and public schools and worked her entire career as a process checker at Western Electric/AT&T, where she retired in 1991.

Simmons married Gori Migliori (deceased) in 1950 and James Simmons (deceased) in 1980, and enjoyed the rest of her years in Derry, N.H .and Methuen, with family. In addition to her love of music, dancing, swimming, bowling and reading, she loved cooking for her family, and her passion lives on in her children.

She leaves her children, Brenda J. (Migliori) St. Pierre and her husband Ernie of Derry, N.H., Stephen F. Migliori and his wife Jeanne of Methuen, Paul J. Migliori and his wife Linda of Manchester, N.H., Laura (Migliori) Freitas and her wife Karen of Boston, and John A. Migliori (deceased) and his life partner Dawn Doty of Chelmsford. She also leaves behind her siblings, Yvonne Sullivan of Haverhill, Lucille Rossetti and her husband Nathan of Haverhill, and Robert Tremblay and his wife Joan of St. Cloud, Fla., and is predeceased by her siblings Irene Crowell, Raymond Tremblay and Richard Tremblay. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as a great grandchild.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass to be celebrated Thursday Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Church, Bellevue Ave. Haverhill. Burial is private. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Salvation Army, 395 Main St. Haverhill, MA 01830. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. Haverhill.
