Lewis Street ‘Disturbance’ Brings Arrests

A Haverhill man and a juvenile from Newburyport are facing various charges after their arrests by Haverhill Police in connection with a reported disturbance late last night on Lewis Street.

Haverhill Police report 22-year-old Bretton Zinno of Haverhill, and a 16-year-old male from Newburyport, were each charged with disturbing the peace, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. Zinno is also charged with delivery of alcohol to a minor. Similarly, the juvenile faces an additional charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol. Zinno is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court. The 16-year-old is expected to appear at a juvenile court session.

In other police news, two people are taken into custody on oustanding warrants Sunday evening in or near the downtown. Haverhill Police report 29-year-old Kimberly Howard of Haverhill was arrested at 5:20 p.m. at 150 Lafayette Square on a charge of failure to attend jury duty. Shortly after 6:30 p.m., 28-year-old Ryan Audette of Salem, N.H. was arrested at the intersection of High and Pilling Streets on a warrant charging him with operating a motor vehicle after license suspension, and a marked lanes violation.
